Sorry, pops, looks like the whole database got cleared. Still unsure what happened, but I’m glad to even have this much restored. I’ll make it look better asap!

Hello! I’m a long-time fan of Roger Kardinal, who until recently, lived on the East Coast. I can’t remember how I discovered Roger’s music, and it could be at least 15 years by now, but I just fell in love with Roger’s voice and playing. I must have given away a dozen “Along the Ways” that I purchased over the years. Roger was kind enough to reply to an e-mail or two over the years, and he always referred to me as his “East Coast Fan Club.” :)
Well, my wife and I moved to Berkeley this January, and we are in love with the area, and my thoughts eventually turned to Roger, since I was now in his area. Last time I got an e-mail, Roger said his health wasn’t so good — I agreed it was hard getting older! — but I wished him well, and hope he’s doing OK. I see some mention of surgery. Please send Roger my best wishes and prayers, from his stalwart “East Coast Fan Club.” I hope the surgery goes well and that I finally have a chance at some point to see and hear him in person with my wife. All the best to Roger and his family. Steve Goodheart (oh, by the way, when Roger and I were in contact, my last name was “Fair,” not Goodheart. Goodheart is my new married name. So “Steve Fair” started his East Coast Fan Club, and Steve Goodheart carries it forward! :) :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Just talked to Devo (Steve Bahnfleth) and he reminded me about your birthday also being the same as his and also my mother, she’ll be 86. Saw the pics, see you visiting my barber too! Debbie looks great also. If you have a more private e-mail please forward and I’ll send more pics and more updates. It’s been a long time since playing together in Loma Mar on those crazy all-nighters. Love to you both! Hope to hear from you soon.

Wally just called me to wish me Happy Birthday! I reminded him that we had the same birthday. So does his mother, Lou. An hour later he phoned me and told me about your website. I looked it up and have read most of it. Glad to hear “the music hasn’t died” It’s hard to believe we’ve been sharing our birthdays for over 35 years. I remember all of the gigs we did around the Bay area back in the 70’s. “He took the last train to the coast, toot, toot. The day the music died!(:(:” The pictures look great. I just received your birthday card today. So glad to hear from you and Debbie. Glad to hear your music is still a main part of your life. I always knew it would be. Have given away over 40 of your CDs along the way……Give my love to Debbie. Hope Wendy and Shaun are doing well. Still can remember the days they were born.
Read that you had surgery. Hope all is well. Susie and I are both finally retired, as of this year. We both love you and miss you very much.

Greetings to Roger and Debbie.
We hope that “no upcoming gigs” is just because you are enjoying some winter warmth somewhere. We drove from the LA freeways to Livermore in September to enjoy a great night on the patio of Harry’s Hofbrau.
Let’s hope that the decade of the 10’s will bring many more great times.

Dave & Pat, It was just that! It’s time to get back into the swing of things, lots of gigs to come! Hope to see you soon. Send us your email, I’ve lost all of Roger’s gig list. :(

Roger has that natural musicial ability not with just the guitar but vocals as well. You feel his music which is a rare talent. Roger is a must see at local events in the Livermore Valley.
